Hi! My name is Bernardino Frola, I live in Dublin, Ireland, and my passions are computer software, animation and sketching.

I am a tech lead and software engineer at Groupon, working on RESTfull webservices  (check out Urgency Messaging on my projects page for an example). Before Groupon, I worked at MathWorks on the distributed and parallel features of Matlab. In 2013, after three years of  experimentation of new algorithms for GPU processors,  I graduated from my PhD in Applied Computer Science at University of Salerno, Italy. During my PhD, I spent the 2011-2012 academic year as Visiting Student Research Collaborator at Princeton University.

As an additional activity, I am collaborating with FarmHedge,  an early-stage Agtech startup whose main products aim to to disrupt the (currently poor) communication between farmers and suppliers.

I am having fun taking care of all technical aspects at FarmHedge. From redesigning and adding more features of our shiny Ionic-based app for iOS and Android, to kicking off and directing the development of a new portal for suppliers.
